Well, Kate got her first splint today. Apparently she got a compression fracture in her wrist about a week and a half ago when she decided to run away from mom on the bed in order to keep her pacifier. I guess she didn't think that the bed would end and she ran right off the end of it, landing on her hands which I thought was a good thing. X-rays showed the fracture and we've got a temporary splint on it until we get into the orthopedic doctor on Monday for a cast. I'm just grateful the doctor felt that it hadn't set up wrong and would be okay to put in a cast without resetting it. I guess Karen and I are normal parents now. The first thing we did when we got in the car was each say it was our own fault. We expect this will be the first of many minor and probably major injuries that this little adventurer will get. She's got absolutely no fear. None. Zero. Zilch. Nada. It's going to be a long 18 years...
